• Defining and calling functions, return values, the None keyword
• Recursion basics
• Function parameters: positional, keyword, default values
• Variable scope: local vs global variables, global keyword
• Python built-in exceptions hierarchy (e.g., Exception, ArithmeticError, IndexError)
• Exception handling: try-except blocks, ordering of except clauses, propagating exceptions
