Amazon EKS training teaches you how to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes on AWS. It covers cluster setup, application deployment, networking, security, observability, and best practices for production workloads.
This course aims to help you build and maintain EKS clusters, deploy containerized apps efficiently, secure environments, and implement monitoring and scaling to master Kubernetes in AWS cloud.
Project 1
Project Overview: Create a containerized web application (such as a Node.js or Python Flask app) and deploy it to an Amazon EKS cluster. The project will guide you through building a Docker image, pushing it to Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), creating Kubernetes manifests, and exposing your app via a Kubernetes Service (LoadBalancer). Key Steps: Build and push your app Docker image to ECR. Create EKS cluster and worker nodes. Write Kubernetes Deployment and Service YAML files. Deploy the application and access it through the assigned LoadBalancer endpoint.
Project 2
Project Overview: Deploy a multi-container microservices application (such as a sample e-commerce backend with frontend, API, and database containers). This will help you practice inter-service communication, secret management, and scaling concepts in EKS. Key Steps: Containerize multiple application components (frontend, backend, database). Push all images to ECR. Write and deploy multiple Kubernetes Deployments and Services for each component. Set up ConfigMaps and Secrets for environment variables and credentials. Test communication between services inside the cluster.
